From the sleeve: Raw energy from the passionate and dedicated young musicians from South London based youth music organisation Youthsayers - fiery and relevant versions of tunes by Fela Kuti, Tommy McCook, Soothsayers, Theon Cross as well as their own collective writing, showcasing not only their talent but their positive attitude to the art of collective music making. These tracks are full of the joy and excitement of young musicians exploring a passion for music and culture via their instruments and voices. Youthsayers was founded in 2016 and has consistently provided free of charge opportunities for young people to come together and make music.
