3 CD set containing 5 full Mitch Ryder albums - Take A Ride (1966), Breakout...!!! (1966), Sock It To Me! (1967), Mitch Ryder Sings The Hits (1968), What Now My Love (1967) plus seven (7) 45s never released on an original LP. Tracks 1-3 and and 2-12 were billed as 'Let Your Lovelight Shine' on the original albums and the composers were the members of a doo-wop group called [a1977713] . This was not a cover of the Kac-Tics song, but rather was a cover of "Turn On Your Lovelight". This album correctly notes the mistake. Track 1-17 is credited as Oo Papa Do by Eddie Singleton on the original album, but it is really Ooh Poo Pah Doo by Jessie Hill and is correctly credited as such here. Tracks 1-18 and 2-14 are credited to Allen Toussaint on the original release. But, that is the wrong version of I Like It Like That. The version here is a cover of the Smokey Robinson & The Miracles song, and is correctly credited on this release. Track 1-19 was incorrectly attributed to Holland/Dozier/Holland on the original release. The correct songwriting credit is used on this release.
